All cakes should be stored in a cool, dark place on a flat sturdy surface. Never put cakes in the fridge other than fresh cream cakes. Sponge and chocolate cake will keep for one week after delivery if covered. Fruit cake will last perfectly well for months.
Can I have a photo put on my cake?
Edible images can be put on almost any of our cakes. We can scan and print any photograph or image. Whenever an image is scanned and printed, the quality deteriorates so make sure you give us the best quality pictures you can. If you wish to supply a digital picture, we only accept jpg or Bitmap images. If you wish to have an image on a chocolate cake, the top must be white sugarpaste, not chocolate.
How long in advance do I need to place an order?
Three days notice is required for sponge, chocolate and fresh cream cakes.
For cupcakes, at least a week is required however it cannot be guaranteed that you will be able to hire a stand as they are on a first come, first serve basis.
If you want handmade models on your cake, however, about a week’s notice is required to enable the models to set.
Where should I keep my cake whilst travelling to the venue/home?
In the car, the cake needs to be placed in the boot or in the foot well, not on the seat or on a passenger’s lap as this can tilt the cake sideways causing it to slide. When carrying the cake, you must hold it as flat as possible in both hands, without pushing against the sides or the top of the box. You must not put the cake in a carrier bag as this can squash the cake and cause it to slide. Please see Terms & Conditions for further details.
Do you deliver?
Yes. Delivery can be arranged at an extra price depending on location. Please enquire.
